| In this March 1979 image, a GTW employee fills the sand box of GP9 4440. Still in black and red, this GP9 and sister 4444 were my two "shadows" - the units I seemed to see the most way back then. Although not easy to see in this reduced resolution version, the employee's jacket is being held closed by a large safety pin. No doubt a man who believes in safety first! |
