| Santa Fe 4-8-4 3751's crew carefully checks for possible derailments as the big engine is backed down the east leg of the wye at the summit of San Diego's Miramar Hill (CP Cumbres). This is industrial trackage, and the rail and ties made a lot of groaning in protest of the unexpected weight! The engine will take water before completing the turning manuver and a return to its train, 24 privately owned passenger cars making a day trip as part of the 2008 AAPRCO Convention in San Pedro. |
