| Autumn and Old Soldiers: The last grips of Fall hold on in the St. Maries River Valley of northern Idaho as STMA GP9s 103-101 lead the Clarkia Logger south on the afternoon of October 28, 2008. The two Geeps where built for the Milwaukee and rebuilt for the STMA in the early 1980s. 30 Years later their age is shown in faded paint, but these old soldiers endure hauling logs for the St. Maries River Railroad, just as they did for the Milwaukee. |
