Remarks & Notes |
The falling leaves are being kicked up by the passage of 451 operating under an "eco-restriction" of not in excess of notch six unless absolutely necessary. The engineer is opening the window to give a wave as they coast down along the shore of Lake Vernon about to do some work at Huntsville Yard. When queried by dispatch if they were able to abide by the notch six order, he reported "98% of the time. We were being pushed by a passenger train and on a couple of the hills around Bracebridge we went to notch seven to get out of his way". They must have reached Falkenburg siding in good time as the Northlander passed by my place right on schedule, and 451 came along about 20 minutes later. |
