| At least a dozen passenger trains ran from various parts of the country to the city of Bloemfontein for the ANC's 100th birthday celebrations on 8th January (ANC = African National Congress - South Africa's governing party). The return workings left Bloemfontein late on Sunday night and at 07:54 on Monday morning, the driver of this special "Premier Classe" waves a greeting to the TCO (train control officer) and security staff, as his train speeds through Wolwehoek station on the Free State main line, destination Johannesburg. |
