The combined L&N Pan-American (from Cincinnati), Piedmont Limited (a Southern-West Point run from New York, combined at Montgomery), and Gulf Wind (from Jacksonville, via SAL, added at Flomaton, AL) backs into NOUPT. The rear car, Royal Canal, is one of the cars used on the streamlined Crescent in the early '50s. Next is an L&N Pine-series sleeper, then what appears to be two SAL coaches. The rest of the train includes both Southern and L&N equipment. Combined 99-33-60 was a monster train at the time. (Photographer unknown)
