| UP 150th Special from Portland, OR to Green River, WY. A friend kept track of the train after it left Portland and let me know that it was running about an hour late. We checked in with the Yard office in La Grande and all they would tell us was the relief crew was on duty. so up the hill we went. We found one tiny spot where the sun broke through the low lying clouds and was up high enough to illuminate the tracks. We got our first shot at 6:38 am, so the delay worked out well for us. |
