Remarks & Notes |
The CP's GP35's never seemed to be the most popular units on the roster. Outnumbered by the MLW RS-18 and C424 fleets and lost in a sea of SD40's and SD40-2's they were rarely spotted on the mainlines by the time I started spending a lot of time track side. Quite a few of them migrated to BC and spent their later years out west. One of the few I ever captured on film was this job with 5013 at Noyes after dropping off Soo Line interchange. The fact that 6041 had lead down from Winnipeg and that the crew was running around the wye to avoid having to lead with 5013 on the way north pretty much summed up how the GP35's were felt about by operating crews. |
