| CSX Hagerstown to Letterkenny local KH00 moves under dark skies on the former Western Maryland Railway line north of Chambersburg, PA where the line is cutoff from the south as the street running trackage was pulled and made into a rail trail in town. The line is only reachable via trackage rights from NS on the former Conrail Lurgan Branch to Shippensburg where the train will then reverse on the old Reading and WM Connection and makes its way to the Letterkenny Army Depot which has seen a transformation into a business park in recent years. This section was once double tracked and was a busy part of the "Alphabet Route" but now at most only sees traffic 3 times a week. |
