Two "icons" of the Lötschbergbahn from the year 1939, then both exhibited on the Swiss National Exhibition in Zurich, on the Luogelkin viaduct during the night vehicles parade for the 100 years celebration of the Lötschberg line. Ae 6/8 # 205 was built by SLM and SAAS (with a Westinghouse axle drive under licence) and with 3385 kW (today 4415 kW) the worlds most powerfull single frame locomotive. Electric double leightweight railcar BCFZe 4/6 (now BDe 4/6) # 736 called "Pharao" was built by SIG Neuhausen and SAAS for regional passenger trains. |
