Before trains 909/910 were extended from Gladstone-Sault Ste. Marie the Soo ran a local six days a week to handle the business that trains 911/912 didn't stop for. Most of the time it was a single unit job often powered by a GP7 or GP9. On rare occasions an F would catch this job. Thanksgiving Day 1978 was one of those days as F7A 2203A departs Trout Lake westbound with 9 cars.
