| A new addition to the Avery County Museum, ET&WNC caboose 505. After being used as a fishing cabin for many years it was decided that the relic's proper home would be next to the former Linville depot behind the museum. Much more work needs to be done to get it back to what the car once was including new trucks which are being shipped from a scrap yard in Pennsylvania. Thanks to both the ET&WNC and Avery County Historical Societies, this amazing piece of history can now be restored and enjoyed by many who visit Newland. |
