Remarks & Notes |
A four car Operation Lifesaver special rolls through Ridgefield Park behind two former BN SD45s: 6361 & 6542. These units had only been recently acquired and had yet to be repainted or renumbered for Susquehanna. The train had run west earlier in the day to Butler and Newfoundland. This area has changed quite a bit in the nearly two decades since the photo was taken. The remnants of the former station platform and canopy were removed to make way for an access road along the NYS&W, and Conrail's single track River Line is now the double track CSX River Subdivision. |
