Amtrak number 9800, the carrier's First Class Conference Club car, sits in the Ivy City shops. This car, built in 1967 as Pennsylvania Railroad Metroliner café car 863, becoming Penn Central 863 in 1968, and later AMTK 863) is normally used for specials and charters, and the car bears Metroliner branding, paying homage to its roots.
