| As the coal mines shut down one by one, scenes like this are in jeopardy. A group of SD80MACs are shown awaiting the call to duty at NS' South Fork Yard. Replacement axles for coal hoppers are stored in the foreground. On this day the once bustling yard and shops were quiet. Only time will tell whether or not this facility will survive.. |
