Remarks & Notes |
As the early morning fog began lifting, a hole opened up for the New England Central Railroad's 323X-24 - the Carnival Express - train that is hauling equipment for the James E. Strates Carnival, which opens in Burlington, Vermont, on Friday. The NECR SD40-2 3405 and GP40-2W 3015 lead the 42-car (26 loads/15 empties - some equipment trucked from Buffalo to Burlington ahead of the train movement) over the White River at West Hartford at 0730 hrs on August 24. |
