Blue Unit Farewell Tour
The Ringling Brothers blue unit circus train heads west out of Oak Island Yard in Newark behind four CSX units. The train does not have far to go, as the next series of shows will take place in Trenton, NJ. This location is one of the few places in New Jersey where the entire circus train consist can be captured in one image. The hind end can be seen in the distance passing beneath the I-78 overpass. Many railfans were lined up trackside to catch this move...one of the last few to take place in New Jersey before the "end of the line" later this year. |
