| Local train heads back to Allentown with an ex-Southern high-hood SD40-2 on a very cold February evening. As was the practice, this locomotive is stenciled with its heritage identity: SOU 3201. By the end of 2012, this locomotive was rebuilt featuring the removal of the high hood and replacing it with an Admiral Cab. The road this picture was taken on has since been closed to traffic. The second unit is NS 3029 (GP40-2; ex-Conrail CR 3328). |
