| A westbound hopper from Machens, MO, to Black Thunder Mine rolls out of Burlington. Here the train passes a coal train changing crews for the K-Line. Both trains are pictured in the tight confines near CTC Lucas Street. On the rear end of this 1x1 hopper is one of the rebuilt SD70MACe's. A few 9700's MAC's went thru a small rebuild at Progress Rail in Tacoma, WA. where the units also received the H3 paint scheme. This hopper came off the K-Line at Burlington onto the Ottumwa Sub. Both of the UCEX trains here are for Union Electric at Machens. |
