Remarks & Notes |
Number 5 is a Baldwin 2-4-2T 1906 built steam locomotive that was used for several decades as a logging engine in the mountains of New Hampshire. In the 1950's the Clark brothers began to rescue steam locomotives from the scrap yard creating "green pastures for iron horses" at the Trading Post. Conceived with hard work and an impressive collection of locomotives, the White Mountain Central Railroad was born. The train to the right was today's tourist riding train powered in the rear by the Climax 6. |
