| Back in June the mighty Mississippi River was raging out of its banks. In Fort Madison the BNSF worked hard to keep the Transcon and the depot open. The employee parking lot was moved to the north and shuttles were used to bring people in and out. The yard at Fort Madison was completely submerged in water, but train kept moving thru here on the mainline. There was only one way in and out of this area as the roads around here were also closed. Here a LA to Willow Spring Z-train blast off for Chicago with a fresh crew on-board. |
