| Burlington Northern GP35 2528 at Belknap St. Roundhouse in Superior July 1971. Built as CB&Q 982 in March 1964. A few Q GP35s were tested in taconite service out of Allouez around 1971 to replace some of the aging Great Northern F Units. Ultimately the GP35s didn't work out on taconite trains and were sent back to their old CBQ turf by the next year. Owen Leander Photo from my collection. |
