| "Allegra" railcar ABe 8/12 # 3503 of the Rhaetian Railway is running towards the Lago Bianco on the Bernina pass line with train 4640 from Tirano to St.Moritz. On the right is the dam of the Lago Bianco (storage lake) and in the background the 2895 meter high pre-summit of the Sassal Mason mountain. In the foreground, there are remains of the former Scala curve, which was replaced by a new strighter line, but was sometimes used as crossing station (only in in summer time) till 1941 and the track removed in 1943. |
