| "Allegra" ABe 8/12 # 3510 of the Rhaetian Railway is pulling the PE (panorama express) 953 BERNINA EXPRESS from Chur to Tirano along the Lago Bianco (White Lake reservoir) and is crossing the 46 meter long "bridge at the lake" south of Ospizio Bernina. This bridge was built in 1949 only, to move the track away from the mountainside to expose it less to snow deposits. The train is shorter then usual in this time of the year. In the background are Piz Albris (left) and Piz Languard. |
