| During the night before, there were about 30 inches of snow on the Bernina pass. The overhead wire was iced and the trains couldn't run anymore. The diesel powered overhead wire maintenance and repair vehicle Xmf 6/6 # 24402 is entering Pontresina from Samedan, to solve the problems on the Bernina line. The Bernina pass (rail and road) was then closed the whole day, including the following, due to avalanche danger and steady snow fall. |
