| Never waste a good mud puddle I always say! North Shore Scenic Railroad GP9 no. 245 waits to attach to its passenger excursion train at the Lake Superior Transportation Museum in Duluth, MN. The loco was acquired by trading off a DMIR SD18 (they had 2). The 245 began its career in February 1956 as NP 245 which is why the museum/NSSR wanted to acquire it. Although classy looking in red, one would hope to see it restored to its original NP paint job at some point. |
