ATSF 302C waits for passenger to complete loading on one of Amtrak's California or Texas trains that use Santa Fe trackage. Santa Fe's passenger service operated from Dearborn Station, but Amtrak centralized its Chicago terminal to Union Station which previously served MILW, PRR, CBQ and GM&O. This photo is just shy of a year and a half into the Amtrak era.
