| CP 8828 crosses a causeway just north of Canal Flats along Columbia Lake with an empty coal train headed toward Ft. Steele. At Canal Flats the CP line will continue south along the Kooteney River. The Columbia River flows north out of Columbia Lake, while the Kooteney flows south with Canal Flats sitting on high ground that separates the flow of these waters. |
