Covered Wagon Convergence. A quartet of vintage EMDs occupies the exhibit tracks ned to Central Avenue at the Illinois Railway Museum in Union, Illinois on August 28, 2022. BN-3 (née-CBQ 9989A, E9A, 1/1956), Iowa Pacific 515 (née-CNW 5029B, E8A, 6/1953) , BN-1 (née-NP 6700A, F9A, 1/1954) and MILW 118C (F7A, 11/1951) are all active members of the IRM's diesel roster and represent a significant cross section of midwestern railroading in the 1950s. The Illinois Railway Museum is the largest railroad museum of its kind in North America, and in 2023 is celebrating 70 years of preservation.
