| "Electric Work Train at Noroton Heights Depot"
Amtrak Siemens ACS-64 640 hauls the Switch Exchange System (SES) work train west past the old Noroton Heights station depot on Metro North Railroad's New Haven Line during the early morning hours of May 14th, 2023. The consist is enroute to New Jersey after being utilized for a switch project on the upper Northeast Corridor in Davisville, Rhode Island.
Work trains that require travel between Hudson Yard and New Haven are usually towed with electric locomotives to comply with the "strict" restrictions within of Penn Station. |
