| The afternoon helpers head west back to their base at Crawford after shoving a Halsted, TX bound coal load over Crawford Hill to Belmont. On the nose of the BNSF 9256 is the "HelperLink" equipment. HelperLink is allows the engineer of the manned helpers to uncouple from the train they're shoving without stopping. The engineer will dial a specific tone with the in-cab radio, which will active the HelperLink box, and pull the coupler pin. |
