On the occasion of the inauguration of the rebuilt Wildegg station area, steam trips were made to the extensive sidings of the station. The steam locomotive “Tigerli” E 3/3 # 8512 (front) and E 2/2 “Chnurrli” ex works locomotive Feldschlösschen Rheinfelden (in the rear) of the Zurich steam group from Brugg come with their short train from the Bündtenschachen industrial area in Rupperswil over the municipal border to Wildegg on the journey through the Jura Zement cement works to Wildegg station. # 8512 was built by SLM Winterthur for the SBB in 1911 and withdrawn in 1965. Since 2021 operational again for steam group Zürich (VDZ Verein Dampfgruppe Zürich) and based in Brugg AG.
