Recently, SLRG E9AMs 2400 (ex-NYSW 2400, exx-BN 9921, née-CBQ 9991, E9A) and 2402 (ex-NYSW 2402, exx-BN 9915, née-CBQ 9985A, E9A) were departed their long time home at the Mass Coastal/Cape Cod Central Railroad in Hyannis, Massachusetts, reportedly destined for Larry's Truck (LTEX) in Ohio. Both units have seen extensive use over the past seven decades, and the "M" added to their model comes from a rebuild at Morrison-Knudsen. With both units reportedly missing many mechanical components, it remains to be seen if they will return to service at another railroad. The Mass Coastal/Cape Cod Central Railroad still owns three ex-New Haven Railroad FL-9s, two of which are operable.
