Remarks & Notes
Building the Utah Transits Authority light rail. Salt Lake City Southern used to operate on Union Pacific's main between Salt Lake and Provo. The Rio Grande main was the better route. The old UP main was sold for the light rail line. The non city portions route were abandon. Texas North Eastern Railroad 272 belonged to Salt Lake City Southern sister railroad. It was brought in to to serve it Salt Lake area. Unfortunately the work being accomplished will eventually put Salt Lake City Southern out of business.
