Remarks & Notes |
The newest edition to the Three Rivers Rambler is finally in front of an excursion after being pulled out of static display at Chilhowee Park and lovingly restored. 154 is now the oldest operating Southern locomotive and the oldest made by the Schenectady Locomotive Works. She has sat in Chilhowee Park since 1953 and its something to see her going down the tracks. Although I knew she was being restored, I stumbled upon this run by accident while out taking a walk with the family, sometimes the best rail fanning days happen by accident. There is a website dedicated to the restoration at southern154.com. |
