Remarks & Notes |
Once a month SBB Historic moves the oldtimers out of the shop to avoid problems from staying idle too long time. The jewel of the collection is the Ae 8/14 in (1A) A1A (A1) + (1A) A1A (A1) configuration with 5'408 kW / 7'350 HP ! With 246 t by far the most heavy loco which ever was used by SBB, which took it 1931 into operation. Today a BR 185 makes 5600 kW / 7200 HP in a simple Bo'Bo' configuration.
