| While visiting NRE in Silvis to inspect Eldon, IA's GP7 purchase, we were allowed to tour the entire ex-Rock Island complex with an escort and proper PPE. This ex-BN SD40-2 is in the process of being stripped and scrapped. In the foreground are generators being prepared for rebuild. The gray enclosure is the modern paint booth for NRE. |
