| Cab car trestle run
NJT Train #1074 with cab car 6065 is in control proceeds over east over one of four steel made Rockaway river trestles for a four track line (for the Lackawanna Railroad) that is now reduced to only one active track. Two days before this photo, New Jersey Transit crew restored and re-aligned the track from trestle 3 to the track trestle 2 that was being upgraded and reinforced the last three years. After this train comes through NJT work crew will remove the remaining track on trestle 3 and then continue with some track upgrades in the near by area for the next few weeks.
The 3 steel trestles of the 4 built were over a hundred years ago. |
