Remarks & Notes |
N&W heritage on the D&H. After 4 years, the N&W heritage unit makes it's first daylight run on the Delaware & Hudson. The extra empty autorack train is coming down Belden Hill and is about to duck under I-88. This is the site of the former D&H FH Cabin which was the south end of Dyes Siding. The old bracket mast from this interlocking can be seen on the left. N&W units have a long history on this track. From N&W ownership of the D&H under DERECO in the late 1960's to N&W run through power from Buffalo after D&H expansion in 1976 to black NW Uboats sent by NS during the D&H bankruptcy in the late 1980's, N&W power has been a common site here. |
