| Freight traffic on the Rhaetian Railway often involves large differences in load volumes. The morning or mid-morning trains from the Engadin back to Chur or Landquart often only run as locomotive trains or with very little load. For example, Ge 4/4 II # 624 and # 629 are in multiple control as locomotive train 9316 from Samedan to Landquart between Saas im Prättigau and Küblis, as diverted train 5116 via the Vereina line. The Albula line is closed for two weeks due to construction work on two tunnels between Preda and Thusis. |
