To celebrate 150 years of the Nationalbahn, founded in 1875 and bankrupt a few years later already, there was a large railway event held in Etzwilen this day. In the evening shortly before 7 PM, the former SBB diesellocomotive Bm 6/6 # 18511 is crossing the Rhine river on the Hemishofen bridge, built in 1875 for the Nationalbahn, on the way from Singen to Etzwilen, with cars of the VES (Verein zur Erhaltung der Eisenbahnlinie Etzwilen-Singen). The Bm 6/6 locomotives were common in the 1960'/1970' on this never electrified former SBB line. The Bm 6/6 # 18511, built in 1961, is now owned and operated by association Rangierlok Schweiz (VRLS) and based in Etzwilen. In the background is the Hohenklingen castle above Stein am Rhein.
