One if the many CNW unit trains that IANR handled for the CNW to move retired power out of Oelwein. Behind IANR and a CNW GP 50 for power, 25 GP7s and GP9s were moved out of Waterloo bound for Cedar Rapids. The units were traded to GE for the Dash 8 order. The units were shipped directly to and scrapped by Pielet Brothers, McCook, IL. They were 4305, 4312, 4340, 4343, 4349, 4351, 4353, 4354, 4358, 4361, 4365, 4366, 4368, 4372, 4373, 4374, 4375, 4377, 4378, 4450, 4458, 4462, 4515, 4522, and 4526. All units were stenciled "GE" on the cab. By the way the 2492 looks, it could have gone with these units.
