A familiar sight at Roper Yard in the late 1980's. This duo was likely assigned to head up the 'Midvale Tramp' local that worked two branch lines in the southwest area of the Salt Lake Valley. Today one of those branches is becoming Salt Lake's newest light rail line.

3011 is also the "star" of the terrible 1973 movie, "RUNAWAY!" staring Ben Johnson. Bad film, but good location shots and RIO GRANDE locomotives with the ski train.
