Does the lack of the CSX letter on the front indicate anything?

Nice shot! Catching an EMD on the front is becoming a rare thing these days! Looks like csx didn't put enough glue on the front decals

I found the missing CSX on the nose interesting as well. Clearly the letter was there until recently since you can see the outline of it. Guess they are using vinyl lettering, but it seems odd it would all fall off - it seems more likely parts of it would be missing. One of life's great mysteries I guess...

Here she is in Feb 2011 and she was missing the decal also: http://www.railpictures.net/viewphoto.php?id=354660&nseq=1. If I had to guess I would say vandals peeled them off and CSX has not replaced them for some strange reason.
