Infamous Tunnel 26. A memorial plaque has been installed on the west portal of T26 in honor of Edward West and George Beaird. A rockslide during the night roared down the mountain and blocked the mainline, and the train could not stop in the minimal amount of time they had when they saw it. Thousands of feet of rockslide detector fences line this part of the railroad today.
