Impressive structure! Nicely done.

KCS had a couple of these timber structures along the Meridian Speedway prior to the upgrades to the line in conjunction with NS. They may have been replaced by now. At any rate, you would guess that the crew might be clenching their jaws when going over one of these. Some had some pretty good side-to-side action. They were likely thinking "Sure, timber is supposed to give a bit, but this is ridiculous."

Great shot, Nikos. I love this trestle. In my pre-railfan days (Summer of 1969), a couple high school buddies and I started across it in the middle of the night. Luckily, my best buddy's fear of heights stopped us just short of the truss section and we scrambled off the south end as a sb was blowing for street crossings in Northport.
