An EOT device would seem redundant since the head end crew can actually see when the rear end is moving.

I tried something like this with Lionel 027 many years ago. No success- it "stringlined" every time!

The track balloon is not yet visible on the googlemaps-plan. Is this a drones picture? Definitely a fantastic shot!

@hubei - The ballon track is visible for me on regular Google Maps...and if you zoom in a little more, you'll even see the roof of the pair of SD40-2T's that normally work this facility on the ballon track with a cut of cars!
