I traveled that highway by Speers many times in my college days at California. Never saw a train on the bridge, though. Thanks for the nostalgia!

I've also driven I-70 many times over the years & I have yet to see a train crossing this bridge. I live less than 1 mile from where this railway passes near Scottdale, Pa. It was built by Pittsburgh & West Virginia Railroad in early 1900's. It was known as a "fast freight" railway connecting Chicago to the Balt-Wash markets by avoiding the delays caused by passing through 3 different railyards. Wheeling & Lake Erie trains pass through here once per day. Eastbound to Connellsville, Pa one day followed by a westbound consist the following day.
