Being from the area of the EJ&E, but also not lucky enough to see many of the transition era locomotives, even though I was already a model railroader at the time of this photo, I also missed seeing and hearing these locomotives. Fortunately there are a couple of these preserved in operational condition and from what I can tell 2 of them with their original prime movers. 1 of them ex-USN#19 out in Bridgeport NJ. The other is out in Ely NV.
