Ready to head to Vegas, UP 844 backs out of Yermo yard. With cylinder cocks open she puts on quite a show in the cool morning air, backing into the steam as she makes her way to the main.

Pooled with Union Pacific four Rio Grande tunnel motors 5394, 5351, 5346 and 5341 are heading west with a Kaiser coal train destined for Southern California.
